At Gestion Danam Lacourse, we believe that together we can make a difference. That’s why we organize a variety of activities to collect donations that will help people in need in our community.
To ensure that donations are distributed to the right places, we work closely with the Relais de Mascouche, a local organization with whom we share common values.
While for many, Christmas is synonymous with joy, happiness and festivity, unfortunately, it’s not like that for everyone. Since 2021, Gestion Danam Lacourse and the residents of QUARTIER 7 have been making a difference for children in need in Mascouche. In collaboration with the Relais de Mascouche, we granted the wishes of over 180 children last year, leaving a personalized gift based on their wish list under the tree for a magical Christmas!
The Mascouche community is brimming with talented and committed artists, whether in their kitchens, with knitting needles or with paintbrushes. In collaboration with Gestion Danam Lacourse, the residents of QUARTIER 7 organized a real Christmas market to encourage local artisans. Exhibitors paid a fee of $25 per day, raising $1,000 for the Relais de Mascouche during this festive season.
Throughout November, Gestion Danam Lacourse provides tenants with a food-drive donation box, which is then emptied each week. Residents enthusiastically contribute to this annual collection, whether in food or money. Some fifty food baskets are prepared each year to bring joy to the hearts of the less fortunate.
Because eating well shouldn’t be a luxury, every year since 2021, Gestion Danam Lacourse has offered a generous cheque for $10,000 to the Relais de Mascouche. This sum enables the purchase of slightly more expensive foods, such as salmon, shrimp, maple syrup, olive oil, Nutella, etc. It’s an unexpected boost for local families in need.
The change of season also means a clean-out of your wardrobe! To make life easier for its residents, Gestion Danam Lacourse coordinates a donation pick-up service. Clothes are then collected on site by Le Relais de Mascouche, which then redistributes them in the region. A great way to give clothing a second life, while diverting textiles from landfills!
Gestion Danam Lacourse was delighted to welcome a market gardener to Mascouche for the very first time in 2022. In addition to selling his vegetables and herbs on site, he answered residents’ questions and shared his know-how. All proceeds went directly to the Relais de Mascouche. An event to be repeated next year!
The Cité de la Santé Foundation for mental health care received valuable support from Gestion Danam Lacourse during the annual Jonathan Huberdeau golf tournament, which was sponsored by a contribution of $7900 in 2023. These funds raised play a critical role in supporting mental health, preventing suicide in rehabilitation centers and improving psychiatric care. This day was a wonderful opportunity to meet people, have fun and enjoy the sun, all for the benefit of a noble cause.
